Our story

German Home Care was founded by German and Giannina Espinoza and was inspired by their own family’s journey. Caring for their daughter taught them that true caregiving is built on compassion, dignity, patience, and trust.

Today, their mission is simple: to care for every client as they would care for their own family, because caregiving is more than a profession. It is a calling.

In gratitude

Gratitude to our mentors

The values that guide German Home Care did not begin with the company. Giannina Espinoza learned them from people who showed her, through their own example, what it means to treat others with dignity, generosity, and respect. In her own words, she recognizes them here.

My first mentor

My mother

“There is no one in this world like a mother.”

My mother was my first teacher and my first mentor. Long before I understood what caregiving meant, I watched her practice it every day, with patience, unconditional love, and quiet strength.

She taught me that every person deserves kindness and dignity, whatever their circumstances. Her love and her values are the foundation of German Home Care, and we honor her by serving every family with the same compassion she showed to all of us.

In loving memory

Nazir and Ashraf Bhagat

I came to the United States after a tragedy in my home country, with $500 and very little English. While I was studying English at Northern Virginia Community College, I met Nazir Bhagat, who held a doctorate from Harvard and taught at MIT. He offered me a job, treated me as an equal from the first day, and encouraged me to continue my education as I grew within his business. Nazir and his wife, Ashraf, welcomed me into their family. To me, they were always simply Nazir and Ashraf.

Nazir and Ashraf passed away in 2025. Their kindness changed the course of my life. From them I learned that people deserve respect above all else, that everyone should be treated as an equal and with dignity, and that sometimes all a person needs is an opportunity.

— Giannina Espinoza

At German Home Care, we honor these mentors by carrying their values into our work every day. We treat every person as an equal, and we believe that seniors, in particular, deserve respect, dignity, and authentic care.
